Neutral Cleaner
What it is
A neutral cleaner has a pH close to 7, so it's neither acidic like vinegar nor strongly alkaline like many degreasers. Used as directed, it's safe on most finishes: sealed hardwood, engineered wood, laminate, luxury vinyl plank, porcelain and ceramic tile, and sealed natural stone.
Why it matters
Acidic cleaners etch marble and granite and can strip floor finishes. Strong alkaline cleaners leave a sticky film that attracts more dirt and dulls the shine. For everyday floor care, including getting winter salt film off, a neutral cleaner with a well-wrung mop is the safe default. Always check your flooring manufacturer's care guide. Some finishes void the warranty if you use the wrong product.
How to use it
Dilute as the label says. More isn't better, because extra cleaner leaves residue. Use a barely damp microfiber mop, and change the water or pad when it gets cloudy.
